Kazakhstan Overview
Kazakhstan is the world's largest landlocked transcontinental country, located in Central Asia with a small portion to the west of Ural River in Eastern Europe sharing land borders with Russia in the north, China in the east, and Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan in the south while also adjoining a large part of the Caspian Sea in the southwest. It is the 9th largest country in the world covering a land area of 2,724,900 square kilometers. It has one of the lowest population density in the world with less than 6 person per sqkms and the total population is about 18.8 million. The capital is Nur-Suyltan which was formerly known as Astana. Climate is "extreme" continental climate, with warm summers and very cold winters. In summer the temperatures average more than 30 °C (86 °F) and in winter average −20 °C (−4.0 °F). Snowfall is heavy and rainfall is widespread. Kazakhstan has a literacy rate of 99.78%. 70% of the population is Muslim and 26% Christians, although Kazakhstan allows freedom of religion officially. The official languages are Kazakh & Russian though English as the global language is commonly accepted. Kazakhstan is economically very dominant rich in oil, gas and other minerals though it is highly potential in agriculture too. It is a member of the United Nations (UN), WTO, CIS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Eurasian Economic Union, CSTO, OSCE, OIC, CCTS, the Turkic Council and TURKSOY. The currency is Kazakhstani Tenge (Rs. 1 = 5.80 Kazakhstani Tenge). The transport system is well developed with rail, bus, taxi and car connecting the entire city. It takes 4hrs from Delhi to Almaty by direct flight. The Kazak time zone is 30mins ahead of India.

Eligibility criteria for admission of Indian students

The student must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

The student must have completed class 12th/HSC/A Level or any equivalent board examination in science stream with combined marks of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. SC/ST/OBC student should have combined marks of 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Ans.: Yes, MBBS from Kazakhstan is valid in India. Candidate has to qualify FMGE.
Ans.: In Kazakhstan, Medical universities are recognized by WHO, USMLE, IMED, GMC, NMC. It is very important to opt for NMC recognised universities, because after completing MBBS it is mandatory to clear FMGE/NEXT for getting license to practice or for pursuing higher studies in India.
Ans.: Candidates who have cleared FMGE examination can get their medical license to practice in government or private sector in India.
Ans.: Students have to score minimum qualifying marks in NEET UG examination for studying abroad. Candidate must at least 17 year old as on 31st December of admission year. If students qualify NEET 2 years prior to the year of admission then they are also eligible. NEET score is valid for 3 consecutive years after qualifying the exam.
Ans.: Indian students can directly apply for admission for MBBS in Kazakhstan. There is no entrance exam for them.

Ans.: As per RBI regulations, any Indian student who wishes to study in Kazakhstan can apply for a bank loan. Banks do not finance the entire course amount but supports the major part and the remaining will have to be taken care by their parents. Ans: Admissions are on first-come-first-serve basis. The procedure starts just after class 12th exam and continues till November. Students are suggested to contact accordingly and undergo the process for smooth and hurdle-free admission.
Ans: National Exit Test (NEXT) is a common final year examination (which will be implemented in the coming days), for the undergraduate MBBS students of Indian colleges. Clearing NEXT would qualify them to register in State or Central Level Council. It was introduced by The National Medical Commission, Bill 2019. Currently Foreign Medical Graduates are required to pass Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) which enables them to get the license to practice in India or pursue any post-graduation medical course. Implementation of NEXT will also serve as Screening Test for MBBS Students from abroad. NEXT will be common for medical students from India as well as from Foreign Medical Colleges. Student can appear multiple times for clearing FMGE/NEXT exam as there is not limit in the number of attempts. The exam held twice a year i.e. June & December.

Ans: Fees of Medical Colleges are payable in US Dollar by forex company/bank through TT (Telegramic Transfer).
