Kyrgyzstan Overview

Kyrgyzstan, is a landlocked country covering a total area of 199,900 km², lies in Central Asia bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the south, and China to the east. The climate in Kyrgyzstan is continental and sunny as it is located far from any ocean. Summer i.e. May-Sept is quite hot when the temperature is 31oC average, winters i.e. Dec-Feb are cold due to snow with average temperature of 3oC. Rain is average approx. 70 days in a year during March-May. Spring can be experienced from March – May while autumn from Sept-Dec. Basic education till 9th is compulsory and free leading to an average of more than 95% literacy. UNICEF takes care of children’s rights in Kyrgyzstan and this is approved by the parliament. Kyrgyz and Russian are commonly spoken though the medium of instruction is English for higher education. The economy of Kyrgyzstan is basically agriculture oriented. Cotton, tobacco, wool, and meat are the main products while tobacco and cotton are exported in large quantities. The economy also relies heavily on industrial exports.   • The student must have completed class 12th/HSC/A Level or any equivalent board examination in science stream with combined marks of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. SC/ST/OBC student should have combined marks of 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Ans: National Exit Test (NEXT) is a common final year examination (which will be implemented in the coming days), for the undergraduate MBBS students of Indian colleges. Clearing NEXT would qualify them to register in State or Central Level Council. It was introduced by The National Medical Commission, Bill 2019. Currently Foreign Medical Graduates are required to pass Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) which enables them to get the license to practice in India or pursue any post-graduation medical course. Implementation of NEXT will also serve as Screening Test for MBBS Students from abroad. NEXT will be common for medical students from India as well as from Foreign Medical Colleges. Student can appear multiple times for clearing FMGE/NEXT exam as there is not limit in the number of attempts.

Ans: After completing the 5yrs. Course. 1-year internship can be done in India or Kyrgyzstan. But for Job or higher studies in India, Medical aspirant from Kyrgyzstan should do Internship in India.

Q. 13. What is the mode of payment of fees? It has to be paid in which currency?

Ans: Fees of Medical Colleges are payable in US Dollar by forex company/bank through TT (Telegrammic Transfer). Documents required during payment of fees are college admission letter, valid student passport/ passport application, student pan card and pan card of the person who will transfer the money. All transactions are processed through parents/student’s bank account. Fees will be paid in dollar to the college.
