Kyrgyzstan Overview
Kyrgyzstan, is a landlocked country covering a total area of 199,900 km², lies in Central Asia bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the south, and China to the east. The climate in Kyrgyzstan is continental and sunny as it is located far from any ocean. Summer i.e. May-Sept is quite hot when the temperature is 31oC average, winters i.e. Dec-Feb are cold due to snow with average temperature of 3oC. Rain is average approx. 70 days in a year during March-May. Spring can be experienced from March – May while autumn from Sept-Dec. Basic education till 9th is compulsory and free leading to an average of more than 95% literacy. UNICEF takes care of children’s rights in Kyrgyzstan and this is approved by the parliament. Kyrgyz and Russian are commonly spoken though the medium of instruction is English for higher education. The economy of Kyrgyzstan is basically agriculture oriented. Cotton, tobacco, wool, and meat are the main products while tobacco and cotton are exported in large quantities. The economy also relies heavily on industrial exports. There are ample reserves of gold, mercury and uranium so mining is well-developed. The currency is Kyrgyzstani Som which is Rs. 1 = 1.14 Kyrgyzstani Som. It was the first Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) country to be accepted into the World Trade Organization. It is a well networked place with bus, mini-bus, taxi, rail and flights. The capital Bishkek is well connected with other countries by airways. It is 30 min ahead of Indian standard Time.

Ans.: Yes. As per the rule laid down by the National Medical Commission (NMC), any candidate who has successfully passed MBBS from Kyrgyzstan can practice in India or can apply for Government Job or Join MD/MS course in any college in India.
Ans.: Yes, there are few universities which are recognised by NMC. It is very important to choose NMC recognised universities, because after completing MBBS it is mandatory to clear FMGE/NEXT for getting license to practice or for pursuing higher studies in India.
Ans.: MBBS is of 6 years (including 1-year of internship). First 5 years are for theory & practical and the final year is only for internship in hospitals & clinics affiliated with the university.
Ans.: Indian students who have successfully completed MBBS from NMC recognised universities are eligible to do job in government or private hospital in India, but student has to clear NEXT/Screening Test in India.
Ans: No, MBBS in Kyrgyzstan is not expensive at all for Indian students, perhaps it is much more economical than other countries. The total tuition fees are around 12 lakhs to 15 lakhs for the entire course. The overall Cost of Living which includes travel, food and other things are cheaper in Kyrgyzstan. Other facilities like accommodation, food, Health insurance, registration charges, exam fees, visa extension charges are quite affordable.
Ans.: Students have to score minimum qualifying marks in NEET-UG examination for studying abroad. If students qualify NEET 2 years prior to the year of admission then they are also eligible. NEET score is valid for 3 consecutive years after qualifying the exam.
Ans: Admissions are on first-come-first-serve basis. Reservation of seats started from by April to August end for Summer Session and December to January for Winter Session.

Ans: National Exit Test (NEXT) is a common final year examination (which will be implemented in the coming days), for the undergraduate MBBS students of Indian colleges. Clearing NEXT would qualify them to register in State or Central Level Council. It was introduced by The National Medical Commission, Bill 2019. Currently Foreign Medical Graduates are required to pass Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) which enables them to get the license to practice in India or pursue any post-graduation medical course. Implementation of NEXT will also serve as Screening Test for MBBS Students from abroad. NEXT will be common for medical students from India as well as from Foreign Medical Colleges. Student can appear multiple times for clearing FMGE/NEXT exam as there is not limit in the number of attempts.
Ans: After completing the 5yrs. Course. 1-year internship can be done in India or Kyrgyzstan. But for Job or higher studies in India, Medical aspirant from Kyrgyzstan should do Internship in India.
Ans: Fees of Medical Colleges are payable in US Dollar by forex company/bank through TT (Telegrammic Transfer). Documents required during payment of fees are college admission letter, valid student passport/ passport application, student pan card and pan card of the person who will transfer the money. All transactions are processed through parents/student’s bank account. Fees will be paid in dollar to the college.
Ans: Flights are available for India to Kyrgyzstan on daily basis. Most of the major cities in India are connected to Kyrgyzstan by air.
